I’m a middle school history teacher who got into education to help students fall in love with learning and quickly realized the system wasn’t built for that.
That realization led me to found Black on Black Education, coach educators nationally, design student voice curriculum across the U.S. and internationally, and hosted over 150 podcast episodes focused on helping educators fight the system from the inside, without burning out.
Through my work, educators reclaim joy, reduce burnout, and build classrooms rooted in critical consciousness and liberation. The Radical Retreat is an extension of that mission brought to life, in person, for those ready to choose themselves without abandoning the work.
