Christopher Santiago, MAT, MA, is a middle school music teacher with 20+ years in K-12 education, including special education.
Seven years ago he began exploring artificial intelligence and its implications for teaching and learning. Since then, he has earned GenAI Trainer credentials, piloted an AI Literacy elective for middle schoolers, and facilitated AI literacy courses for PNW BOCES and Day of AI. He currently sits on his district's tech committee as they develop AI policy.
Active study in the field of AI, including graduate coursework, an international AI ethics book club, and building educational resources keeps him grounded in the research. His work is driven by the belief that as schools navigate an AI-integrated landscape, educators deserve thoughtful preparation, and students deserve educators who have it.
