Meredith Hutchison is an artist and creative strategist based in New York City. A feminist activist and advocate for LGBTQIA+ and racial justice, her work sits at the intersection of art, storytelling, and social change. For over 15 years, she has led visual storytelling and creative strategy projects across more than 20 countries, partnering with communities, nonprofits, and global movements to turn ideas into action.
Her multidisciplinary practice spans illustration, photography, animation, and collage, and is expanding into projection mapping, immersive installation, and augmented reality - creating experiences that evoke awe, spark empathy, and illuminate our deep interconnectedness. Her work has been featured by media outlets including CNN, ABC, BBC, Vanity Fair Italy, Ms. Magazine, and The Washington Post, among others, and exhibited in galleries and public spaces across multiple countries.
Meredith is the founder of The Linocut, a creative practice rooted in the linocut printmaking tradition - bold, tactile, and historically used as a tool of resistance. This ethos shapes her approach: art that is imperfect, human, and designed to move people.
She is also Co-Founder of Resistance Communications, a creative collective supporting social movements with campaigns and visual strategy, and Co-Founder of Vision Not Victim, a global program equipping girls to reclaim their narratives and lead systemic change.
Meredith holds a Master’s in International Affairs from Columbia University and a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. She believes deeply in the power of collaborative art to heal, transform, and reimagine what’s possible.
