The Institute for Humane Education (in partnership with the Maine DOE) is offering paid
training in Solutionary Education—a student-centered approach where students tackle real-world challenges through problem-based, place-based projects. Participating teachers earn a Solutionary Micro-credential, contact hours, and
a $1,000 stipend.
In 2024, over 250 educators across Maine participated, guiding students in addressing local issues like environmental sustainability, food insecurity, and housing.
Registration is now open for 2025 cohorts, starting in late January with a kickoff event in Bangor (mileage reimbursed and meals provided). Feel free to reach out to me at
[email protected] with any questions!
